Loggerhead Marinelife Center, one of the world's busiest sea turtle hospitals and research centers, offers clinical externships for 4th year veterinary students interested in aquatic animal medicine, and specifically, clinical sea turtle medicine. LMC is a full-service, state of the art facility that exposes the extern to a variety of experiences, from emergency triaging of critical patients to complex medical and surgical cases. Externship dates are flexible but very early contact and scheduling is advised, as LMC can only accommodate one extern at any given time. Please send a CV, Letter of Intent, and 3 references.
