								<description>Granby, Connecticut,  Join a AAHA accredited hospital and a team of doctors with over 180 years of multi-species veterinary experience!&#xa0; 
 Salmon Brook Veterinary Hospital in Granby, CT is seeking a full-time (part-time considered for the right candidate) internship trained large animal veterinarian with an interest in large animal wellness, preventative, and emergency medicine.&#xa0; Experience in lameness, ultrasound, shockwave, and endoscopy is a plus, but not required!&#xa0; Three to five years of experience is preferred; however, newly graduating internship trained veterinarians are encouraged to apply.&#xa0; Salmon Brook is an equal opportunity business and does not discriminate on   the basis of race, color,&#xa0;national origin, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identity. 
 Our privately owned, 9 doctor mixed animal practice focuses on high-quality medicine, teamwork, and customer service.&#xa0; The large animal division is comprised of approximately 85% equine, 5% bovine, with the remaining 10% small ruminants, porcine and camelids.&#xa0;&#xa0; 
 The successful candidate will be provided a fully stocked ambulatory vehicle, assigned a technician, and offered a generous benefits package including personal pet benefits and medical benefits.&#xa0; Salary is commensurate with experience.&#xa0; In addition to salary, you will also receive 23% of your production.&#xa0; Compensation is based on a Pro-Sal model starting at minimum $120,000.00 base salary, with no negative accrual.&#xa0; Liability, and Disability insurance is included.&#xa0; Licenses, AVMA, AAEP, and CVMA dues as well as a $3500.00 continuing education allowance are all paid by our practice.&#xa0; A 10K sign-on bonus to use as you wish, company funded employee assistance program, and a $500.00 a month for 1 year housing stipend is offered with a signed contract. 
 Scheduling is flexible, we value a work-life balance with emphasis on mentorship for new employees.&#xa0; A 3&#8211;4-day work week with equally shared on call duties is necessary for this position.&#xa0;&#xa0;
