As our hospital continues to grow, we are seeking a full-time Overnight Emergency Veterinarian to join our dedicated team. This position is ideal for a clinician with at least 2 years of experience who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is comfortable working overnight shifts. Preference will be given to candidates seeking an overnight-focused schedule.
North Springs offers a progressive, specialty-integrated environment with access to Cardiology, Internal Medicine, and Radiology services. Our emergency doctors work alongside skilled specialists and highly trained technical staff in a modern facility equipped with advanced diagnostic imaging, comprehensive in-house laboratory capabilities, fully outfitted surgical suites, and a well-supported ICU.
Schedule
Three 12-hour overnight shifts per week (averaged)
Consistent scheduling designed to promote work-life balance
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality emergency care for outpatient cases
Oversee and manage hospitalized inpatients
Perform thorough diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans
Communicate openly and compassionately with clients
DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience (emergency experience preferred)
Comfortable and confident working overnight shifts
Experience managing both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
Proficiency in emergency stabilization and critical care
Comfort with basic abdominal surgery preferred
Strong communication skills aligned with our values of compassion and transparency

About North Springs Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center
North Springs Veterinary Referral Center (North Springs VRC) is a privately owned emergency and specialty referral hospital located in the beautiful city of Colorado Springs, Colorado. With mountains to the west, Denver to the north, and a close-knit community, Colorado Springs offers a small-town feel, all of the outdoor recreation options, and big city opportunities to meet all interests. Upon opening (July 2023), the North Springs VRC emergency department will be available 24/7/365. Initial specialty services will include cardiology, internal medicine, surgery, radiology, and exotics, with critical care and anesthesiology soon to follow. The 13,000 sqft hospital is designed with separate specialty and emergency entrances and waiting rooms, nine dedicated emergency exam rooms, a large ICU/treatment area for emergency patients, a completely separated isolation wing, a dedicated exam room and treatment area for each specialist, two surgery suites, radiology, endoscopy, and ultrasound suites, and specific spaces for CT, fluoroscopy, and I131 services. There are also designated specialist office space, a specialty phone/call back room, and even a staff pets housing area, among other... amenities for comfort and wellbeing.
