We are a family owned mixed animal practice, in an urban/rural county, with only a 30 minute drive to the heart of San Antonio, Texas. We do a lot of large animal work, and are looking for a mixed/Equine/Bovine Veterinarian, but would like to also bring into the practice a doctor with a special interest in small animal medicine and surgery to join our skilled team of 10 DVMs that are committed to self-improvement and team collaboration to provide the highest quality of care and service. Someone is always available for mentoring, while also sharing on call emergency service to provide work/life balance. We have a great environment for mentoring and supporting your special interests in medicine and surgery, as someone is usually around to assist you with that difficult medicine case or new surgical approach. Our Veterinarians believe strongly in staying current and offering the best medicine using common sense.  We have a modern and extremely well-equipped facility including separate equine sound portable DR radiology and small animal Scil Smart digital radiography, power floats, Logiq ultrasound, tonometry, high speed vetpro small animal dental and midmark digital dental radiography, endoscope for TCI and in house lab(Abaxis, Idexx and Imagyst) Our 7,000 square foot small animal facility and 20,000 square foot Equine/Bovine facility is built to accommodate multiple doctors seeing multiple species. Facilities include two sets of equine stocks, bovine facilities with 3 hydraulic chutes, 1 of which is a layover, a layover surgery table, and a standing chute. We have 2 ambulatory trucks w/ vet boxes. 
 Our new large animal office with reception area , equine stock, surgery room, recovery room/critical care and lab area has now add another level service to the livestock/farm animal clientele. &#xa0;A must see to appreciate.&#xa0; Deason Animal Hospital is located in the city of Floresville Texas on 4 acres and only a short drive from San Antonio with big city amenities.
