 Position Overview 
 This role focuses on equipping veterinary students with the professional, communication, and management skills essential for success in today&#8217;s veterinary landscape. The successful candidate will collaborate with faculty across disciplines to design and deliver curriculum that integrates clinical knowledge with leadership, business acumen, and interpersonal effectiveness. 
 Faculty will contribute to teaching, mentorship, and curriculum development within the Department of Veterinary Biomedical Sciences. 
 Teaching &#38; Academic Responsibilities 
 Responsibilities include: 
 
 Delivering lectures and facilitating small group instruction in professional skills and practice management 
 Developing and refining course materials, including assessments and applied learning activities 
 Contributing to curriculum design and continuous program improvement 
 Mentoring Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and graduate students 
 Supporting student development in communication, leadership, and business competencies 
 
 Research &#38; Scholarly Activity 
 Faculty are encouraged to engage in scholarly activity aligned with their expertise. Areas of emphasis may include: 
 
 Veterinary practice management and business operations 
 Communication and client relations in veterinary medicine 
 One Health and public health initiatives 
 Interdisciplinary and applied veterinary education research 
 
 Additional expectations include: 
 
 Participating in independent and collaborative research projects 
 Engaging students in scholarly and applied learning opportunities 
 Collaborating with faculty across departments 
 Contributing to academic publications and professional development 
 
 Service &#38; Institutional Engagement 
 Faculty members are expected to contribute to the academic community through:

 Compensation 
 Annual Salary Range:  $149,864 &#8211; $196,539  (DOE) 
 Final compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, education, and academic rank as determined through the institutional review process.

 OR RESIDENCY/POST GRADUATE TRAINING PROGRAM FOR THE GS-13 GRADE LEVEL. Successful completion of three years of an internship, residency program, or fellowship training program in a discipline related to the position.  OR BOARD CERTIFICATION FOR THE GS-13 GRADE LEVEL-Specialty boards that are recognized by the American Board of Veterinary Specialties (ABVS) of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) certify eligible candidates as specialists in specific veterinary medical fields. Veterinarians who successfully complete all requirements for Diplomate status in an ABVS-recognized veterinary specialty organization may qualify for the GS-13 grade level.  TRANSCRIPTS are required. This position requires specific coursework or a degree in a specific field to be basically qualified. this education must have been successfully completed and obtained from an accredited school, college or university.
