Flat River Veterinary Hospital – Rougemont, NC
Flat River Veterinary Hospital is seeking a motivated and compassionate Associate Veterinarian (full or part time) to join our well-established large animal practice in Rougemont, NC, just outside of Durham. With over 30 years of service in the community, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, personalized care in a supportive, family-oriented environment.
We’re looking for a motivated veterinarian who values balance—someone who takes pride in their work but also appreciates time off to recharge. Emergency duty is shared equally (50%), and we fully support time away from work when you're off-call. You’ll have access to a well-equipped practice vehicle and cell phone for professional use.
DVM or equivalent
Ability to obtain licensure in NC and VA
USDA Accreditation (or ability to obtain)
Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to quality medicine
A desire for work-life balance and being part of a collaborative team
We primarily serve a diverse population of equine patients, ranging from companions to performance horses. We also provide care for small ruminants, cattle, and a small number of camelids. Our services include wellness and preventive care, breeding, dentistry, lameness evaluation, and emergency medicine.
Our practice is ambulatory-focused with haul-in capabilities and is fully equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, power dental floats, and endoscopy.
