								<description>Yellowstone County, Montana,  A newly developing College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a dedicated and forward-thinking faculty member to lead instruction in Professional Skills and Practice Management. This is a unique opportunity to help build a veterinary program from the ground up, contributing to a modern, student-centered curriculum that prepares graduates for both clinical success and the business realities of veterinary practice. 
 Position Overview 
 This role focuses on equipping veterinary students with the professional, communication, and management skills essential for success in today&#8217;s veterinary landscape. The successful candidate will collaborate with faculty across disciplines to design and deliver curriculum that integrates clinical knowledge with leadership, business acumen, and interpersonal effectiveness. 
 Faculty will contribute to teaching, mentorship, and curriculum development within the Department of Veterinary Biomedical Sciences. 
 Teaching &#38; Academic Responsibilities 
 Responsibilities include: 
 
 Delivering lectures and facilitating small group instruction in professional skills and practice management 
 Developing and refining course materials, including assessments and applied learning activities 
 Contributing to curriculum design and continuous program improvement 
 Mentoring Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and graduate students 
 Supporting student development in communication, leadership, and business competencies 
 
 Research &#38; Scholarly Activity 
 Faculty are encouraged to engage in scholarly activity aligned with their expertise. Areas of emphasis may include: 
 
 Veterinary practice management and business operations 
 Communication and client relations in veterinary medicine 
 One Health and public health initiatives 
 Interdisciplinary and applied veterinary education research 
 
 Additional expectations include: 
 
 Participating in independent and collaborative research projects 
 Engaging students in scholarly and applied learning opportunities 
 Collaborating with faculty across departments 
 Contributing to academic publications and professional development 
 
 Service &#38; Institutional Engagement 
 Faculty members are expected to contribute to the academic community through: 
 
 Participation in Faculty Senate 
 Departmental meetings and faculty evaluations 
 College and university committees 
 Program development and interdisciplinary collaboration 
 
 Compensation 
 Annual Salary Range:  $149,864 &#8211; $196,539  (DOE) 
 Final compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, education, and academic rank as determined through the institutional review process. 
 Relocation assistance may be available.

 Minimum Qualifications 
 
 Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited institution 
 
 Preferred Qualifications 
 
 Master of Business Administration (MBA) or related advanced degree (preferred) 
 Experience or strong interest in professional skills development and veterinary practice management 
 Background in teaching, leadership, or applied veterinary business practices 
 
 Additional Information
