Established six-doctor mixed animal practice seeks full-time or part-time veterinarian. Desired practice focus is flexible ranging from equine/small animal, true mixed animal, mixed large animal, to small animal only. Our current team consists of one small animal exclusive veterinarian, two large animal exclusive veterinarians, and three truly mixed animal veterinarians. This range of experiences allows us to adapt the position to a candidate's interests. New graduates are welcome to apply and would benefit from mentorship and collaboration during the transition from vet school to private practice.
BRAC’s services are 60% small animal and 40% large animal. Small animal focuses on preventive care, medicine, and surgery. Large animal medicine and surgery is provided for cattle (primarily beef), horses, small ruminants, camelids, and pigs. Advanced ruminant reproductive techniques are performed. The equine caseload has expanded significantly over the last two years, so an equine interest is strongly desired but not required. After-hours emergency services are provided for large animals only and duties are shared between mixed and large animal veterinarians to help promote work- life balance. Veterinary specialty referral centers for both large and small animals are available within a 75-minute drive.
BRAC has an in-house IDEXX laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, and a class IV therapeutic laser. We have a large animal haul-in facility and provide a stocked vet trucks for ambulatory work for our mixed/large animal veterinarians. We have a fantastic support team of LVTs, veterinary assistants, receptionists, and a practice manager. We have LVTs and vet assistants with large animal experience who can assist with ambulatory calls, if needed. Employee benefits include competitive salary, health insurance, matching IRA, CE assistance, and licensure.
