We are seeking a Full Or Part Time caring Associate Veterinarian who desires to practice quality, compassionate, leading edge medicine in our growing 2 doctor private practice in sunny South West Florida. North Port/Port Charlotte area is an affordable community experiencing significant growth.
We are a small animal hospital servicing North Port/Port Charlotte, FL and surrounding communities primarily focused on Canine and Feline Medicine and Surgery ( open to adding exotics for the right individual). We also work with many different rescues and shelter groups allowing us to reach more clients which is a great way for our doctors to develop new client and patient relationships. We promote wellness and our doors remain open to emergencies throughout the day. There are no expected after hours, no WEEKEND or emergency shifts expected either. We have a local emergency facility within a ten minute drive as well as access to some of the best referral specialists in the state of Florida. We offer flexible scheduling in addition to ample vacation time for personal pursuits in an effort to promote a healthy work-life balance. Our FT vets currently work 33-36 hours weekly with paid vacation time and ample weekly personal time. The North Port community is a rapidly growing youthful family oriented community with an average age of 40. There are excellent schools and abundant activities locally.
In-clinic we have a surgical suite with electrocautery and laser surgery available, a divided dental area for surgical and dental procedures (including dental radiology), separate treatment areas for triage and procedures, isolation ward, digital imaging room including radiology and ultrasound, cold laser therapy as well as full on-site diagnostic laboratory with Idexx blood machines and a well stocked Pharmacy. Our hospital has four exam rooms that offer hydraulic lift tables for our canine patients and Cat-friendly rooms for patient comfort. In addition there is an on-site boarding facility.
We provide a fun but professional work environment with a knowledgeable and tenured support staff of 16, many of whom have been with us many years. Our trained staff allows our doctors to focus on examination, diagnosis, and development of treatment plans. Our techs collect samples, place catheters, perform skin scrapes, prep and read ear cytology and fecal samples. Our techs are efficient and allow you to be a doctor!
