Are you burned out or sick of the quantity over quality approach/pressures that are so pervasive in contemporary veterinary medicine? Do you believe that feline care requires specialty training, exceptional consideration for feline-specific needs and that feline medicine has to start with wellness/prevention? Then our cat hospital is an exemplary fit for you!
Our single-location feline practice, Meadows Cat Hospital, is located in idyllic Issaquah Washington situated at the gateway to the Cascades. It's a bustling and beautiful city/area loaded with opportunities for indoor/outdoor fun. Having served Issaquah for over 30 years, Meadows Cat Hospital is the only family-owned and operated practice in the area. We offer uncompromising quality feline medicine and 40-50 minute appointment blocks to ensure you get time with your patients and clients. Typical patient loads are 8-10 patients per doctor per day. We pride ourselves in our care and customer service and you will be supported by a mature team heavy with LVTs/CVTs, LVTs in-school/training, B.S.s, a Ph.D., you name it. Being family owned and operated is an ethos that we carry to our cores. It means supporting you (our doctors), the team, the clients, etc. We are a teaching hospital so expect mentorship and collaborative case-sharing. We do not believe in medicine performed in a vacuum nor do we believe our approach is the only right approach. We constantly try to push the hospital forward on every level.
If you are searching for a position where you can really practice internal medicine, surgical care, dentals and preventative medicine (you know, all the things that cats need but are so often under-provided), then come visit us. We have an exceptional focus on medicine/internal medicine, preventive and acute dental care, as well as soft tissue surgery (cystotomies, exploratory surgery and anastomosis, spay/neuter, perineal urethrostomy, entropion, enucleation, amputation, splinting, mass resection/removal, etc.) Our team dynamic, focus on work/life balance (patient/doctor ratio), NO SATURDAYs or Sundays, and incredible cat owners will hopefully convince you that this could be your new home!
As an aside, we offer full benefits (scrub allowance, CE, 401k, health insurance, etc.) and have a state-of-the-art newly-renovated hospital equipped with digital x-rays, full in-house labs and AI-augmented lab analysis, state-of-the-art ultrasonography, quick access to off-site expert radiograph analysis, as well as local access to cardiology and visiting board-certified ultrasonographers.
Completion of a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent). Pending or up-coming NAVLE test (for new graduates). Exemplary compassion and care for feline patients and their owners. Demonstrable abilities to independently manage time and cases. Basics of feline medicine/wellness.--Everything else we will train! A willingness to collaborate with the team, including doctors, and an openness to learning feline specific care are must haves.
A thriving cat hospital located in scenic Issaquah WA. Family-owned and operated with a heavy focus on internal medicine and quality of medicine rather than the traditional volume model that drives most veterinary medicine. Exceptional client demographics, modern equipment and a strong focus on mentorship.
