We are offering a full time large animal veterinarian associate position in the Raleigh/Durham area in North Carolina! (Part-time also considered).  We at Hoof and Horn Mobile Vet have a mobile only practice treating goats, pet and production pigs, horses, sheep, cows, and camelids (in that order). Every day is an adventure and unique with great clientele and great patients. 

We serve a mixture of pet animals and small production farms. We have a full time veterinary assistant, an office manager, and pre-vet students usually riding along. You would have your own veterinary assistant to drive or ride with you and help with records, animal handling, cleaning, organizing, etc. 

Large animal experience is preferred, and mentoring for new grads or those new to large animals is available.  A healthy exchange of ideas in the practice is absolutely encouraged. A big blue truck, ride-along assistant, ultrasound, and access to x-ray are provided. Compensation will be a base salary plus production and additional emergency stipend. Benefits such as continuing education, licensing, association dues, liability insurance, and health insurance will be provided. The schedule would be 4-5 days a week and flexible emergency duty. 2 weeks of vacation time is guaranteed, with additional flexibility for days off as needed.
