The College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) at Oklahoma State University (OSU) is seeking an enthusiastic large animal veterinarian with a passion for clinical, hands-on teaching to join our faculty team. You will have the opportunity to actively participate in clinical and communications training of the next generation of veterinarians.

You will join a team of three teaching faculty in Clinical Skills, Clinical Reasoning, and Communication, led by the Clinical Skills Program Director. As teaching faculty, you will be a full-time educator devoted to teaching in the DVM curriculum and participate in clinical teaching, didactic teaching, and extension activities of the college. Teaching responsibilities will include didactic instruction in knowledge of large animal medicine, basic skills using the new clinical skills lab, instruction in problem-solving and critical thinking, professional skills, and instruction in hands on live animal labs. The position may include participation in the Institution for Healthcare Communication Faculty Training and instruction in the communications portion of the curriculum.

This is a full-time career track faculty position with an excellent benefits package, 4 weeks of vacation and funding support for continuing education travel. Applicants must have a DVM or equivalent veterinary degree and be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice veterinary medicine in Oklahoma. In addition, a minimum of 2 years of experience in general large or mixed animal practice is required. Candidates that have completed a rotating large animal or specialty internship are encouraged to apply.

The OSU CVM is in Stillwater, OK, which is nestled in north-central Oklahoma, approximately 60 miles from Tulsa and Oklahoma City.
