Position Overview:
Are you ready for an exciting, hands-on externship experience? Join us at Hometown Veterinary Partners and dive into the world of veterinary medicine across our diverse locations! We’re looking for enthusiastic and motivated veterinary student externs from all years of veterinary school. This is your chance to gain invaluable experience in a dynamic environment, all while being rewarded with a paid externship and, for ten 3rd and 4th year students, a housing and travel stipend!

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Experience: Team up with our skilled veterinarians to assist with physical exams, diagnostics, and medical treatments. Get hands-on experience in surgeries, radiology, and lab procedures.
• Patient Care: Engage in the care of our in-house patients, from monitoring and administering medications to communicating with pet owners.
• Learning Opportunities: Dive into a variety of cases—from routine check-ups to complex surgeries. Learn directly from seasoned professionals who will provide you with valuable feedback and guidance.
• Team Collaboration: Get to know the ins and outs of clinic operations, including client interactions, medical record management, and team coordination.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in an accredited veterinary school.
• Passionate about veterinary medicine with a thirst for learning.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to delivering compassionate care to pets and their families.
