Currently seeking an associate veterinarian for our small animal veterinary hospital located in Durham, North Carolina.

We are an AAHA accredited hospital that is locally owned.  Our staff is Fear Free Certified, and we care about the impressions we make on both clients and pets.  We will be moving into a new facility in 2024, and we are looking to expand our team.  We have digital dental x-rays that are utilized on every dentistry patient, digital full body x-ray, full anesthesia monitoring with ETCO2, blood pressure, ECG, and SPO2, and full laboratory services provided by Antech, and dedicated separate surgery and dental suites.

Broadway Veterinary Hospital is privately owned with no intention of selling to a corporation.  The owner has experience working at a large corporate practice, working emergency medicine, and working at locally owned practices.  The goal of BVH is to offer high quality medicine to our patients, provide excellent service to our clients, work with a dedicated highly trained staff, and maintain our own quality of life.  We do not offer boarding, and we do not ask our staff to be on-call nights or weekends.  This hospital is part of the community and wants to stay that way for many years to come!

Our perfect candidate is a compassionate and understanding veterinarian who has empathy for pets and their people as well as fellow team members. If you are a new grad or have not been in clinical practice recently, a mentorship program is available. Our needs for an associate veterinarian include:

• License and be eligible to practice Veterinary Medicine in the state of North Carolina
• Excellent computer software skills and proficient in electronic medical records
• Work closely with our clients and their pets
• Provide patients with a high level of patient care while thoroughly working up cases
• Excellent surgical techniques and dental skills
• Capable of leading a team of technicians and assistants
• Have a strong work ethic, with the ability to work seamlessly as a team, as well as independently
• Possess strong people skills, with a specialized focus on the quality of care that provides client satisfaction to the highest degree
• Clear and effective communication, with both clients and fellow team members
• A commitment to superior client services in all aspects of your job
• Be respectful and courteous to all team members
• Acute attention to detail in all procedures and treatments

Broadway Veterinary Hospital is downtown Durham’s first animal hospital! We are currently relocating to Broad Street near Duke's East Campus in Durham. We are an AHHA certified full-service animal hospital providing veterinary care to the surrounding Durham community.
