In-Home Euthanasia Part-Time Veterinarian – Home with Dignity
We are seeking a part-time Veterinarian to join our team for a celebrated in-home euthanasia group in your area! Flexible hours, compassionate clients, days spent in the sunshine, and personalized mentorship from end-of-life care experts. This opportunity offers all this and more, with one of the most well respected in-home pet euthanasia practices in the country. As an in-home euthanasia Veterinarian, you will experience:
Day-to-Day: In this role, you will conduct euthanasia procedures with care, compassion, and professionalism. You will travel to clients’ homes and perform the euthanasia procedure, seeing up to 6 patients a day. After each appointment, you will transport the pet to the local crematorium that Home with Dignity partners with. Our Veterinarian’s main and only focus is the appointments themselves and transportation of the pets. In addition to this, you are supported by an incredible team of Care Coordinators who handle all the administrative work (appointment scheduling, payment processing, client follow-up, etc.).
Work-Life Balance (but actually!): It's the oldest promise in the book, but we deliver. Your schedule is built around your life and the needs of the practice. No catching up on notes, no client follow-up calls, simply time to spend with your loved ones and reflect on the incredible impact you had on so many lives that day.
Kind and Grateful Clients: Clients in a hospital setting can be scared, angry, looking for someone to blame; unfortunately, this blame often falls on the Veterinarian. Our clients are in a different stage of the grieving process: acceptance. As a result, our Veterinarians are treated with a level of grace, appreciation and kindness that re-ignites a love of their profession.
Support, Mentorship and Community: As a member of our family, in addition to this back-office support, you will be part of a nationwide network of Veterinarians, who will provide you with mentorship, guidance, inspiration, support, and community.
Requirements:
Reliable Transportation: Must have a reliable SUV or similar vehicle for travel
Flexibility and Availability: Shifts available Monday – Saturday, 8:00am – 6:00pm with flexibility to choose your days of work
Licensing: Must have valid DEA, State, and additional required licensing to practice veterinary medicine and handle controlled substances where Home with Dignity operates
We provide our Veterinarians with benefits such as:
Average of 4-6 patients per day
30% production on all services rendered
Up to $100,000 signing bonus
Paid time off
Dental, disability, life, & vision insurance
A dedicated social worker and employee assistance program
Student loan support
Company-paid short and long-term disability and life insurance
Free continuing education through our own Learning Institute and additional CE allowance
Home with Dignity is a unique house-call veterinary practice originally founded in Colorado Springs with a sole focus on end-of-life care (primarily in-home euthanasia). Home with Dignity was started by Dr. Jim Humphries, a leader in both local and national veterinary organizations. He is a well-known national media veterinarian, speaker, author, and workshop leader. He founded the American Society of Veterinary Journalists, and the Veterinary News Network. For 30 years he has taught media, marketing, and communications at all the state VMA meetings and leadership groups and he has spoken to practically every national meeting in the US and Canada. In 2012 he became an Adjunct Professor at Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. After a full career in both practice and leadership, Dr. Jim began Home with Dignity to fill an obvious need in the veterinary space.
