AREYOU READY TO FULFILL YOUR DREAM OF LIVING, WORKING AND PLAYING IN THE COLORADO MOUNTAINS???
Full time or Part time opportunity has become available at our rural small animal/exotics veterinary hospital located in the mountains west of Denver. We are at 1.5 miles above sea level (8500 foot elevation) in beautiful Park County, seemingly in the middle of nowhere; yet within an easy 35-minute drive down a major highway to the flatlands of the greater Denver Metro and outlying suburban areas. Four-season recreational opportunities abound within minutes of our location.
We are a privately owned, long-established practice, with over 46 years of service to a broad swath of mountain communities located along the U.S. Highway 285 corridor in Jefferson and Park counties. We have a long-standing reputation for providing compassionate, empathetic and high-quality veterinary services to our community. We take the time during our appointments to cultivate long-term relationships with our clients and they become part of our practice family.
We are a full service medical, dental and surgical facility. While our current hospital is modest in size, we are fully equipped with all the latest technology including In-house lab, digital whole body x-ray, high speed dental station and digital dental x-ray, Class IV therapeutic laser, and a complete in-house pharmacy. We utilize the services of a Board Certified Radiologist who does in-house ultrasounds and reviews radiographs. We also utilize the services of a highly regarded and experienced traveling Orthopedic Veterinary Surgeon for our orthopedic surgeries. Our proximity to Denver allows our clients easy access to all the numerous Referral Hospitals located in the flatlands when the need to refer to a specialist arises. A highly committed and excellent Receptionist and Technical staff supports our DVMs.
A more seasoned Veterinarian who enjoys working up cases and performing surgeries would compliment our Veterinarians. However, we will offer strong mentorship and collaboration to a Veterinarian with less experience. Recent Graduates with a strong clinical background are encouraged to apply. Our current staff of veterinarians has over 108 combined years of experience in small animal, exotic, emergency, laser, acupuncture & massage therapy.
The current opening is for a full-time schedule, which is flexible and could potentially be filled by 2 Veterinarians who would like to work fewer days or hours. Many of our clients live in these mountain communities & they do make the daily commute to work in the Denver area, so we are open late 2 evenings each week and Saturday AM to accommodate their schedules. We do not see after-hours emergencies; they are referred to the many excellent facilities located on the flatlands.
Lone Rock Veterinary Hospital is a rural privately owned full service medical, dental and surgical small animal and exotics practice. We are located in the mountains west of Denver, just past Pine Junction, in beautiful Park County. Lone Rock was first started in 1977 as a mixed ambulatory practice and became a small animal/exotic onsite clinic with equine and large animal ambulatory capabilities in the early 1980's. The current owner started working as an Associate DVM for the small animal and exotic practice in 1988 and became the sole owner in late 2001. At that time the equine/large animal ambulatory was continued under new ownership in another community location.
