As an independently owned veterinary practice serving 3 out of the 4 largest cities in Maryland, we offer the charm of a small town, while maintaining a reputation for only the highest quality of medicine and surgery offered.

Our general practice sees healthy and sick appointments and triages emergency incidents, but we are not an ER. That means no overnight care or on-call duties. Our appointment times are flexible,  and our modern practice features 5 exam rooms, a full in-house laboratory, digital record system, digital radiography, digital cytology, ultrasound, laser therapy, digital dental radiographs, and a full surgical suite. At Paws and Claws, we believe in providing the best care possible for our patients and clients. We know that a crucial part of achieving this goal is to give compassionate care to ourselves and our coworkers. We understand that work-life balance is important and make it a priority for our entire veterinary team.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a DVM or VMD degree and be licensed to practice in Maryland. They should also have excellent communication skills, be passionate about providing exceptional care for animals, and be comfortable working in a team-oriented environment.

The skills and required qualifications for this position are: 

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university. 
• Licensure in good standing to practice in the State of Maryland. 
• Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the Veterinary Code of Ethics. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Models a Professional and courteous demeanor with staff and clients. 
• Commitment to ongoing professional and educational development and growth.
