Practice Overview Boston Road Animal Clinic is a full-service veterinary hospital, including a pharmacy, a surgical suite with state-of-the-art technology, on-site x-ray capabilities, and Idexx laboratory equipment including Sedivue, Procyte, and the Catalyst. We are a small animal practice that provides care for dogs and cats currently. There is infinite possibility to expand on services and create a niche in things like surgery or exotics. Our team is a tight-knit group who thrives in a team like environment. We collaborate, support, and cheer each other on to the finish line. What You’ll Be Working On Build and maintain client relationships Diagnose, treat and manage a variety of mixed animal cases Perform small animal surgeries Maintain a positive and supportive work environment Guide and utilize exceptional support staff
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited program required
Be licensed or able to be licensed in the state of Kentucky
A minimum of one year of experience working in small animal internal medicine required
A minimum of one year of experience working in general practice and surgery required
Experience working in mixed animal medicine, exotics, and/or large animal medicine a plus!
Flexible with schedule - must be available to work rotating shifts
Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and continuous learning
Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
Strong communication skills
Positive team player who motivates staff with encouragement
Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
Scott County Veterinary Clinic is a rapidly growing, three doctor, mixed animal veterinary clinic in Central Kentucky. We have been in our beautiful new state of the art clinic for a year now. We have in house Idexx blood machines, as well as digital radiography. We currently have three doctors, 4 technicians, and two receptionists and are ready to expand our team with another doctor.
