Our mission at Harlingen Veterinary Clinic is to provide our community with the highest level of veterinary healthcare possible. Our goal is to educate owners on preventative care medicine to help their pet live their best life. From the first vaccine appointment to advanced medicine cases we help guide owners as they make important decisions concerning their pets’ care.  

Our vision of the perfect associate veterinarian is a motivated individual who is looking to provide high-quality care to our patients, while also developing rapport with our clients. With support from our highly skilled technical team, associate veterinarians are responsible for physical examinations, surgery, client communications, dentistry and ensuring that each pet and parent feel like family at each visit. We hope that you will settle into our clinic and enjoy the wonderful community we have to offer. We will provide you with all the opportunities you need to grow in our practice. That can come in the form of mentorship, generous CE, or new equipment. Our goal is to help our DVMs reach their potential in the area of medicine they enjoy. 

Our hospital is open 6 days a week, and a variety of different schedules can be accommodated. We know that veterinarians need flexibility, and we are set up to allow for full-time or part-time employment. We ensure our DVMs get the work/life balance that is needed to sustain clinical practice for the long run.  

Our practice:  

• We are an AAHA certified hospital with excellent medical & surgical capabilities.
• We treat dogs, cats, and all exotics
• We utilize ultrasound, digital radiography in our practice to allow for in house abdominal ultrasounds and echocardiograms (read out by a radiologist, and cardiologist as needed)
• Our DVMs frequently have medical rounds to enable us to offer the most current diagnostic and/or therapeutic options for our patients.
• We have CO2 laser, full suite of in-house lab equipment, cold laser therapy, alternative modalities (acupuncture) to list a few

What we are looking for: 

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
• Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of New Jersey
• An ethical person who possesses good emotional intelligence skills, and takes pride in their work
• Someone who can recognize their own challenges and is willing to learn, grow, and strive for the betterment of the team
• Proficiency in medicine, surgery and dentistry
• Someone who constantly strives for excellence and gold-standard of care

• There is absolutely NO negative accrual, so you can be sure that every month you still retain the ability to hit that production bonus. This bonus is paid out monthly. 

Stipend for CE w/ Dedicated Paid Time Off:
