Tri-County Veterinary Services is a busy, family owned, mixed animal practice that services the local pet animal and farm animal communities. We are located 40 minutes from Harrisburg and also draw many clients from that suburbia. We have a fully equipped lab with CBC/Chemistry machines, in house and portable ultrasounds, digital X-ray, and microbiology lab. We also own a 2nd office nearby that functions as a spay/neuter clinic, through which our doctors may opt to rotate.
We love our pleasant and competent support staff and seek to provide the best possible care to our clients and pets. Our 4 1/2 doctor practice treats a wide variety of cases and is a team-oriented group that is looking for a knowledgeable yet will-to-learn associate. Special interests are encouraged, and our team is committed to mentoring new doctors. A strong work ethic and agreeable demeanor are essential.

We hope to employ a doctor desiring a long-term residency in a small town/rural atmosphere. This is a full or part-time position working with pets alone +/- large animals if desired.
If for full time, this associate would likely see appointments one evening per week and one Saturday per month, but receive one day off per week. This work schedule is negotiable.
Licensure or eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania is required. Small animal medical and soft tissue surgery skills are needed. While experience is desirable, we definitely encourage senior veterinary students to apply.
We are a 4 1/2 doctor mixed veterinary practice in central Pennsylvania that serves a rural community but is only 40 minutes from Harrisburg. The practice is about 70% small animal, 15% dairy, 12% equine, and a few small ruminants. We do not treat birds or reptiles. Regarding the small animal work, beyond the usual routine appointments, surgeries, and dentals, we tend to do a fair amount of dog reproduction including C-sections and an occasional artificial insemination for local small-time breeders. We offer a broad repertoire of surgeries including feline perineal urethrostomy, canine urethrostomy, entropian, grid keratotomy, ACL surgery, FHO, and orthopedics using pins and wires. We manufacture culture plates and do 95% of our own microbiology lab work. The dairy services include general herd health, reproduction and ultrasound, mastitis culturing and consulting, and common surgeries. The equine services include general equine health, reproductive services such as ultrasound and AI breeding, and emergency field services for colic and injuries.
