Veterinary Specialty Center of Tucson is seeking a veterinarian to provide urgent care services to patients with non-life threatening conditions in our busy emergency and referral practice. Our multispecialty hospital is open 24/7, 365 days per year providing care to a very wide range of illnesses and injuries. This position starts at $130k as straight salary, or a ProSal option can be discussed. Higher salaries available for candidates willing to work some weekend days!

This veterinarian could an experienced veterinarian, a new graduate or general practitioner looking to gain emergency experience and knowledge in a collaborative environment with access to specialists (internal medicine, neurology and neurosurgery, surgery, radiology, dermatology, and emergency and critical care) as needed. They would be primarily responsible for incoming cases that are not life threatening but may not be able to wait to see their primary care veterinarian or, in some cases, they may not have one. Examples of these cases could be dermatologic disease, UTI’s, nonspecific GI signs, lameness or minor wounds.

In addition, Tucson is a short 5 hour drive from the beaches of San Diego and less than 4 hours from a snowy getaway in the winter to Flagstaff. Tucson also hosts an array of cultural activities year round, such as street fairs, symphonies, ballets, and is a culinary and craft beer hotspot. Tucson also has 3 of the country’s top rated high schools and is a great place to raise a family.
