Emergi-Pet is hiring full time or part time Emergency Veterinarians! We are an after hours Emergency and Trauma facility limited to canine/feline patients. We have a full complement of experienced staff and machines to make our jobs easier. Experience is preferred; however, we enjoy developing younger talent, new graduates are encouraged to apply! Responsibilities: >Examine/triage animals in an acute care setting >Diagnose illnesses and implement the best medical or surgical treatments >Counsel pet owners on course of therapy, prognosis and long term implications of acute illnesses >Collaborate with primary care DVMs regarding treatment plans, follow up care for their patients Skills/Requirements: >Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions using simple language >Problem-solving skills >Collaborative and congenial attitude >Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent >Active license to practice in Alabama
