Apollo Beach Animal Hospital is located in Apollo Beach Florida just 20 minutes south of Tampa. We are offering 2 positions for senior veterinary students for a 2 week externship. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about a general small animal practice. We are a fear free practice that strives to provide high quality medicine, excellent communication and service to our clients all while providing the best experience possible for our pets. Participants in the extern program would be able to experience how an everyday small animal practice is run. It would be an excellent opportunity to learn more regarding general wellness exams, evaluate and treat under supervision of veterinarian sick and hospitalized patients, draw blood, place IV catheters, assist in surgical procedures. 

4th year veterinary student
