Mulford Animal Hospital is a privately owned and operated practice serving the Rockford, IL community since 1978. We are a growing 1.5 doctor general practice with a full-time office manager/CVT and 10 support staff of CVTs(6), VAs(4) and receptionists(1).

We strive to treat pets as if they are our own by focusing on providing high quality care for our patients throughout their lifetime from preventative medicine at first visits to extra sensitivity with end of life care. While dogs and cats are our focus, we also care for pocket pets and exotics (not required but encouraged). Our collaborative approach allows continuity between our staff and reflects in the satisfaction of our clients, who are well established and easy to work with.

Our practice is nestled in the southeast corner of Rockford, IL . We have ease of accessibility to Madison, Milwaukee and Chicago at just over an hour away with every activity imaginable but far enough away to not live in city traffic. Within our city and county we have wonderful downtown amenities at multiple cities, restaurants, museums, a zoo and beautiful forest preserves with great trails and views. Our location is ideal with both country or suburban living at your fingertips.
Our associate will have a 3.5 day plus Saturday or 4 day work week with no Saturday. We have no emergency or after hour duties. We would like someone who enjoys surgery but are ready and able to help develop these skills if needed. We need an associate with a focus on small animal medicine with a high standard of care. We desire to give the best options to our patients and clients.
We are looking for an associate who loves to work in a team and have a collaborative approach to the work day. Our work culture is something that we are very proud of and because of this our work day is easier. There is no drama here! We recently closed for a weekend to have a no working retreat! We work at developing our entire staff through continuing education both on site and off. We have monthly staff meetings focused on various topics and to maintain positive communication and growth. We have even closed the clinic to attend CE meetings as a group! We value the advancement of individual's knowledge because we know that brings our entire practice up.
