A busy fast-paced mixed animal 7 doctor practice is looking to fill an immediate opening for a large animal exclusive veterinarian. Our practice is strong in dairy and beef cattle work, with a growing list of equine and small ruminant patients. Also in the process of building a brand new 10 exam room vet clinic in Willmar, with haul in capabilities for large animals.

In addition to the responsibilities outlined below, the Associate Veterinarian is an invaluable member of the hospital team who works directly with supporting medical staff and clients. This individual advances the quality of medicine in the practice and provides exceptional client service to our clients and patients. Externships are welcomed.
- Performs physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical procedures that deliver the highest quality care on the farm.
- Pregnancy palpation with ultrasound.
- Breeding Soundness exams.
- Process beef cows and calves in spring and fall.
- Communicates with clients on topics such as diagnosis, treatment plans, and preventive health care.
- Maintains client/patient medical/surgical records and makes certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols.
- Stays current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine.
- Assists in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service.
- Presents a positive image of the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.
