Rarebreed Veterinary Partners are seeking Licensed Veterinary Technicians to join us in our Portland, Maine area hospitals! These roles are eligible for a $2,000 signing bonus!

• Kindred Spirits Veterinary Hospital
• North Windham Veterinary Hospital
• Mann Memorial Veterinary Clinic
• Norway Veterinary Hospital
• Kennebunk Veterinary Hospital
• Post Road Veterinary Hospital

These positions are eligible for quarterly bonuses under Rarebreed’s profit-sharing program!

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides compassionate care to patients and clients
• Keeps accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy
• Prepares and maintains the exam rooms and treatment areas
• Performs physical assessments and records observations
• Restrains pets 
• Prepares estimates for procedures and discusses financial commitments with clients
• Explains necessary follow up and home care instructions
• Stocks clinic treatment area and exams rooms 
• Assists the Veterinarian in medical, surgical procedures; prepares patients for surgery; administers anesthesia; monitors patients during surgery and recovery; administers fluids
• Cares for all surgical materials; keeping the operating room properly stocked and prepared for surgery

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one year experience as a Veterinary Technician in a clinic/hospital setting
• Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) or License (LVT) preferred but not required
• Must have a positive attitude and be a team player
