Associate Veterinarian Needed.

Intermountain Pet Hospital has been a part or our community for 44 years and we are now looking for an associate veterinarian who wants to work in a state of the art veterinary practice designed to provide fear free care. We are an established 10 DVM multi-location practice located in a fast growing suburb of Boise, Idaho. The Boise area is not only a great place to work but also wonderful place to play and raise a family! There are numerous outlets for outdoor play and adventure including skiing, hiking, white water rafting, mountain biking and much more. Families love living in Boise for the affordable living, friendly community spirit, safety and the beautiful four seasons we enjoy.We are currently looking for the right person to join our team and help us expand our services. This position does include some evening and weekend hours.

Our practice is expanding and we are currently looking for a full time DVM to work at our Overland hospital. This location serve a great clientele in the Meridian area. We offer digital radiography, ultrasound, cold laser, PRP, minimally invasive surgery, endoscopic surgery (rigid and flexible), etc. 

Job Types: Full-time, Commission. We offer a generous signing bonus and apartment housing for up to three months to help ease the transition if you are relocating to the area. 

Experience, Education and/or Training

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required.
  • License in good standing with the applicable state veterinary board.
  • License with the Drug Enforcement Agency required.
  • Proven ability to perform all basic surgeries, including use of all standard medical instruments and equipment.

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Significant continuing education achievements, beyond licensing requirements.
  • Ability to recognize that teamwork is essential for a quality practice; ability to work as a team member as well as a doctor.
  • Working knowledge of and interest in the business aspect of a veterinary practice.
  • Interest in marketing and growth of the practice.
  • Display tact and diplomacy with staff members and clients.
  • Perform basic computer skills, type 30 words per minute.
  • Physical Effort : Work requires lifting and carrying animals (will be assisted by other staff members in lifting animals over 40 lbs). Walks or stands for extended periods or time; frequently works in a bent position.
  • Working conditions : May be exposed to unpleasant odors, noises and animal feces. May be exposed to bites, scratches and contagious diseases.

 

NOTES:

Additional Salary Information: We have an attractive benefit package including Medical benefits, Employer matched Retirement plan, Life and disability coverage, gym membership, and a generous CE budget. We offer a generous $25,0000 signing bonus with a completed internship or 4 years of previous experience. $30,000 with orthopedic surgery and/or laparoscopic experience.

Intermountain Pet Hospital and Lodge is a progressive 9 doctor multi-location practice in Meridian Idaho. We been established in the community for 34 years and our practice has build a wonderful clientele and positive reputation in the community. We practice in a state of the art newly remodeled facility. In order to provide patients with exceptional veterinary care, our DVM’s work together with a team based approach but are also encouraged to pursue their special interests in medicine. We have a strong focus on wellness care in our practice and also currently offer minimally invasive surgery, stem cell therapy and PRP, rehabilitation medicine, water therapy, cold laser, acupuncture, behavior medicine and hospice care.
