Mountain View Animal Emergency is looking for a new or recent graduate to take under our wing and help get the right start in emergency medicine.  If you have an interest in emergency medicine, MVAE would like to invest in your future!  We have developed a training program that will set you up for success in emergency medicine.  Instead of an internship that will barely pay the bills, we want to provide you with a real salary and the opportunity to be part of a team that desires to help you reach your goals. 

MVAE is a 24-hour emergency only, small animal hospital located in Hagerstown, Maryland. We are fully staffed with experienced clinicians and licensed technicians.  Our practice prides itself on aggressive, yet common sense medicine, and one of our top priorities has always been to provide the highest level of customer service to our clients, while maintaining a great work environment for our staff. 

Our greatest strength as a clinic is our staff.  The majority of our full-time technicians are RVT’s or heavily experienced in ER/referral practice.  Their strong skills allow our clinicians to focus on the medicine and work worry free.  We are a privately-owned veterinary hospital that is not involved with any large corporation.  There is a small, but involved, management team whose constant focus is to always improve our product and the quality of the work environment for our team. We pride ourselves for treating our staff like family members, not just employees. 

We offer a generous salary compensation that could develop into a Pro/Sal structure, zero on-call shifts, full health, vision and dental insurance, 401k, large CE allowance, and license and professional dues.  Most importantly is our great work environment.  Once you come in for a visit, you will see what all the fuss is about.  We believe strongly in quality of life, both at work and away from the hospital.  This is a mentorship, not indentured servitude.  You are not here to be worked to exhaustion, but to be an equal part of our team.

Some of the many ways our staff enjoys their free time is by spending it outdoors or traveling to close cities for a day of fun. Western Maryland is an ideal location for those who love the outdoors but still desire to live close to major metropolitan regions.  This location also has a lower cost of living despite being so close to Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
