Associate veterinarian position available in a daytime only veterinary hospital in an upscale commercial/residential town center in Riverview Florida. We are looking for an associate that wants to be part of a team of doctors and staff that put patient, client, and employee care first every day. The candidate must enjoy talking to people (and animals), and friendly,confident,excellent communication skills are prerequisite. We are a family practice, and see our employees and clients as part of our family. We see primarily dogs and cats (80/20), as well as small mammals, and the occasional pocket pet, reptile, or bird. Our practice is an "an betweener" in veterinary industry lingo, as we perform as a specialty practice without the specialty pricing. Our clientele base is highly compliant, and willing to pursue workups per our recommendations.We are a contemporary, artfully decorated practice with leading edge equipment and hardware/software technology, and constantly strive to improve communication, treatments, followups, and efficiency, so that our practitioners can concentrate on their patient and client relationships. We are expanding our building size to accomodate a larger, more efficient treatment and ICU area, multiple high tech operating theaters, state of the art dental treatment area, and diagnostic imaging rooms. We see all aspect of patients and cases in our practice, from puppies to geriatrics, and look forward to complicated, multi-modal treatments. We have an Eastern Medicine practitioner, and enjoy seeing atypical cases. We perform routine to advanced specialty surgical and internal medicine procedures daily, and communicate with local specialty practices for advanced cases that require multi disciplinary veterinarians for continuity of care. Our doctors work a 3 to 5 day week including rotating Saturdays, not to exceed 30-45 hours, depending on the doctor's desire to see more or less cases. Part time veterinarians are welcome. We would prefer an experienced veterinarian given our typical case load, however a new graduate that is interested in being mentored at a high level of practice would be considered. We use a ProSal compensation method, and want our doctors to make the income that they deserve for the hard work that Veterinarians do every day.
