Crossroads Animal Hospital is in search of an associate veterinarian in Seneca, SC.
Full time position but will also consider part time. We are currently primarily small animal but looking to expand the equine portion of the practice - associate would be doing both small and large animal medicine. An associate with acupuncture/chiropractic training would be a bonus.
Excellent staff - we emphasize training and CE, so all our vet assistants are knowledgeable and able to do their jobs well, allowing doctors to focus on doctor only jobs. We love our jobs but also believe in time off - associate will work 4 to 4.5 days per week. Office is open 8-5; we typically leave by 6 on weekdays and take 1-1.5 hour lunch breaks.
Focus is on thorough client education and providing the best care possible, staying current on the latest CE to ensure quality care. We allow at least 30 minutes per patient to give time to give great care. We emphasize wellness in all species - no handing out "shots" without an exam and determination of what that patient needs. We believe in good equipment and have in house CBC, chemistry, coagulation times, CR radiography, digital dental rads, drill for dentistry, and power float/dental stand for horses. We are very careful with anesthesia and have a dedicated staff member monitoring plus EKG, BP, pulse ox used on patients.
Excellent referral options: Upstate Vet Specialists has won national awards and is an hour away for small animals; UGA is an hour away for large animals. UVS also comes to our clinic to do orthopedic surgeries and ultrasounds.
We believe in giving back - we founded a dog, cat, and horse rescue which saves about 225 animals per year.
The ideal associate for this position would be someone who loves to learn and wants to work where top notch care is offered for all patients. Our practice culture is based on continually learning and improving our care as medical advances occur and as new equipment becomes available. From our doctors to our kennel assistants, we emphasize learning, training, and CE to do the best job we possibly can for our patients and clients.
Upstate SC is a great place to live with mountains and lots of hiking within 30 minutes of our office. We also have multiple nearby lakes for those who enjoy water sports. There are places to live within 30 minutes of the clinic that are either quite rural (mountains) or in town (Anderson, Seneca, or Clemson).
